How we do it
Measure and camera the flue
The existing flue is scanned and measured so the liner is sized to the appliance and the chimney, not to a standard.
Specify the liner
Diameter, grade and insulation chosen for the fuel and the position of the chimney, and quoted in writing.
Fit from the top
The liner is run from the top down, insulated where specified, and connected at the appliance.
Terminate and seal
New top plate, cap and seal at the crown so water cannot get between the liner and the masonry.
Test and document
Draft checked, the installation photographed and documented for your records and your insurer.

Chimney Liner Installation FAQs
How long does a stainless liner last?
A quality stainless liner installed correctly and swept annually is a long-term component, and most carry a manufacturer warranty. Burning unseasoned wood or leaving creosote in place shortens that considerably.
Do I need a liner for a wood stove insert?
Almost always. An insert vented into a large open masonry flue drafts poorly and glazes the flue with creosote because the gases cool too fast. A correctly sized liner is what makes the insert work as intended.
Can a cracked clay flue be repaired instead of relined?
Sometimes, depending on the extent and location of the damage. We will tell you honestly which applies, because a repair that does not restore a continuous barrier is not worth doing.
